Frequently asked questions
- Does Flint upload my skills to the cloud?
- No. Flint is local-first: all data lives on your machine, with no login and no forced upload.
- Which agents does it support?
- Any agent that uses a skills directory, such as Claude Code's .claude/skills or Cursor's .cursor/skills. You mount assets into the corresponding directory when deploying.
- Can one skill serve multiple agents at once?
- Yes. Deployment is just a mount, so the same asset can be mounted to several targets without duplicating it.
- Will importing many skills make things messy?
- No. Flint keeps the list clean with name-based deduplication and tag search — that's exactly its value over a one-shot installer.
- Do I still need to manage skills as models get stronger?
- Yes. Stronger models only mean you should focus more on cleanup and dedup so skills never hold you back when it matters. See the Learning Skills · community debate.
